Climate
Generally, the closer you are to the equator, the warmer it is, but temperature is not the only variable to consider when evaluating a country's climate. If you want to go tenting, wind is something to take into consideration, since places with high wind speeds encounter unique difficulties. The countries with the most cyclones and strongest winds, are China, Philippines, Japan, Mexico, USA, Australia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Madagascar and Cuba. The places that frequently have fast winds are usually around central to South America or near the Indian Ocean. Europe, however, tends to have countries with calmer winds. If you prefer your personal experience over solid facts about weather or cost, it can be hard to measure how well different destinations compare to one another. However, you will get an entirely different perspective on the "health" of a country by looking at the data on the World Happiness Report.
